Buckaroo

Buckaroo‘ the wonder fawn, came to live at Unicorn Hollow on June 9th, 2021. Neighbors rescued him from a rocky run‑off ditch at the side of the road. IV fluids, goat milk, and a lot of TLC brought this little guy back to life.

This morning, Buckaroo and the dogs, Boomer & Domino, met baby Renfru. They’re going to have a good time with the latest addition to Unicorn Hollow.  (see video below)

A young deer

‘Buckaroo’ was brought to Unicorn Hollow by a good samaritan in May of 2020. His mother had been killed on a highway.

He’s smart, cute, and very playful. Boomer, our chocolate lab, helped to raise him.

Buckaroo poses for his First Birthday picture. He’s now known as a ‘Button Buck’ because of his budding antlers. He’s kind, playful, and elegant, all at the same time:)

Who knew that Buckaroo’s first love would be BIG BIRD?

‘Renfru’ the wonder fawn:)

‘Renfru, the wonder fawn’ was found in a rocky run-off road ditch on June 7th. You all know the rest of this story, right?

So, good friends, take the first peek at this four-pound tyke and his new family at Unicorn Hollow. Buckaroo, now a “button buck” at one year old, is gentle but draws the line at the baby’s insistence to nurse on ‘body parts’ that Buckaroo will never possess:)

Hey, ain’t life grand?
